Today I am here to talk about mascara mistakes you girls are making unknowingly. I am a huge fan of mascara since I’ve started using makeup☺ I can skip everything but cannot skip mascara ever.
In recent years I have learned many new things in applying mascara in a right way. There is not always some hard and fast rules but these are the things to follow to get the appealing look.So let’s discuss some common mistakes.
not wiping off mascara
Most of us directly apply mascara without wiping off the excess product from the wand which will gives your lashes a spider look. So always wipes off excessive product with mascara tube so you will get the neat classy look.
Pumping the wand
It is a common practice that the girls pump the wand thinking that in this way they will get the desired amount of product but actually in this way air pushed in mascara tube and make it dry. So if you want more product on your wand close the mascara tube properly and then open it to apply again do not pump it.
Not wiggling the wand
You have to wiggle your mascara wand side by side in this way they will not clump up and you are able to spread product evenly to cover every lash.
Applying only one or too many coats
This is such a common mistake that most of the girls apply only one coat and the other group apply too many coats. I only apply two coats of mascara which works well for me. There are different mascaras with different formulas so it is not necessary to apply tons of coats. That’s why maintain a balance and apply two or three coats which is more than enough but do consider the formula of your mascara if it’s thick two coats are good to go and if it is liquidy apply three coats. No one likes spidery messy look.
Coating from centre to tip
This is again a very common mistakes that many girls coat their lashes from centre to top. The right way to apply mascara is to apply from the base to the tip of your lashes it will give you the more natural and neat look.
Using Just one mascara for upper and lower lashes
There are plenty of different mascaras available from drugstore to highend from which you have to select according to your need. Select thick lengthening mascara for your upper lashes as we girls like more dramatic look but try to use light formula for lower lashes to avoid transferring the product to under eyes and gives you the look of having dark circles.
