hope you are all doing well. As you already know that essence is a very pocket friendly good quality brand with some hits and misses.
Today I will be reviewing essence eye & face palette. This palette is named as 02 rise & shine which I will be reviewing today and other one is 01 glow for it which I didn’t get because shades in 02 was looking more promising. Let’s check it out and find if it’s a hit or miss.
Eye & face palette with a soft and long-lasting texture to create a perfect look in 5 easy steps.
It has a very ordinary plastic packaging like other essence products. It comes with a 4 eyeshadows, 1 highlighter and 1 blush. All the powders are smooth and creamy except the face highlighter and lid shade. All powders are not pigmented like light shades do not have good pigmentation.
Blush is in peach shade with satin finish. Highlighter is in dull light peach shade with no thick chunks of glitter which is a plus point. Light matte taupe eyeshadow is way too light (it reminds me of the makeup revolution redemption iconic 3 palette shade but that one is much dark and pigmented, which I already reviewed you can check here ) and hardly translate the color on the crease. Brow bone highlight has a pink undertone which is not too shimmery or glittery. It is a very subtle highlight which can be used for face highlight as well. Eyeshadow for lid is in coral shade which is too shimmery and doesn’t translate on lid perfectly no matter what. I tried it with damp brush but that also doesn’t work. Shade for the outer corner is quite pigmented brown satin finish.
As the lid shade is not pigmented so its staying power is not good, it hardly stayed for about one or two hours with primer. Other dark brown eyeshadow stayed bit long. I have noticed one thing that while blending, all the shades mixed together and doesn’t create nice hue. I tried this palette in every possible way but it doesn’t work for me.
For me this is just an ordinary palette. I did not have high hopes for this palette but still I thought it would work for me. Although it is an inexpensive palette but it is not all about price if you do not get a quality product. I am not saying that it has a cheap quality but still it is a miss for me.
8 g/ Net Wt. 0.28 oz.
So you have got the idea that I didn’t like this palette so I will not recommend. If you are a beginner you can consider it but if you are beginner and searching for something super good quality so do not pick this one. There are many other good drugstore options from which you can select your type of palette.
Have you ever tried essence palettes or this specific one? If yes then how is your experience. Hope this will helpful for you. Would love to know about your experience.
