Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold 18H Mascara: Review

Mascaras are every girl best friend right? Mascaras are my first love when I got interested in makeup. I feel that it gives the instant lift to an eyes. So here I am with a review of an affordable mascara. You must know that essence have a wide range of mascaras with most affordable price tag. Today I will be reviewing essence volume stylist curl & hold mascara with micro styling waxes. It has one other variant called lash extension mascara.

Packaging

This mascara comes in a rosy pink kind of a tube with textured black lid. It has a paddle brush with slight curl. Overall packaging is sturdy and does not look cheap.

My Thoughts

Lets talk about the applicator first. Applicator is little big for my choice and I feel that it has irregular bristles spreading. I like the brush with neat and defined bristles. It has a thick dry formula may be because it has micro styling wax. It is not a water proof mascara but more like that in terms of formula which is a plus point for any kind of mascara. Like wet kind of mascaras create a mess on to your eyes. One coat is enough for getting fuller lashes if you have normal lashes but you can apply one more coat for more prominent look. It doesn’t need tons of coats. If you apply third then it will make your lashes clumpy. I always apply two coats no matter which mascara I am using. I like heavy thick lashes but not the spider-y look. It does separate lashes well. It gives my lashes crazy length. You can only use it for upper lashes because big applicator makes it difficult to apply on lower lashes. I like it for everyday use.

Essence Volume Stylist Curl & Hold Mascara

It does hold the curl for decent period of time. I cannot say much about the brand claims about 18 hours of holding curl because I do not wear makeup for such long hours. As I told you earlier that it has a dry water proof kind of a formula so definitely it will stay on you and hold the curl for long.

Now removing it off is a bit difficult because it sticks to your lashes strongly. So I always break my lashes while removing it. Thats why I wet my lashes with water first and then take it off, which makes it so easy.

Would I recommend

No doubt that it has some cons in it but still I like it. For the price it does the job well. If you like curl up lashes then go for this mascara. If you are a beginner then this also work for you.
