There are a lot of contouring palettes available from drugstore to highend and everyone cannot afford always highend. We are always in search of drugstore options. Today I am here for ELF contour palette review. As we already know that elf has a wide range of beauty products and mostly deals in every category.
All the products are quite reasonable. I already reviewed elf blush & bronzing powder review, click here if you are interested to know about that. Now lets find out is it any good or not?
- The beautiful contour palette holds 4 gorgeous shades to mix and match for a custom and defined look.
- The pigmented colors are great for contouring, shading, sculpting, brightening and highlighting the eyes, cheekbones, nose and jawline to slim and enhance features.
- Infused with vitamin E to help nourish for gorgeous looking skin.
This Elf contour palette comes in a sleek black plastic packaging with a good sized mirror in it. All the four pans are removable so that you can customize it according to your need if you have other elf palettes. I like everything about packaging.
ELF contour palette comes with two matte contour/bronzing powders and two highlighting powders where one is matte and other one is shimmery.
Starting from the bottom right side you will find dark ashy shade which is good for contour because of grey undertone and next to it there is a brown shade which is more towards bronzer side because of earthy undertone. From top to right there is a a matte white powder which is good for setting or highlighting your contour and the top last shade at left is a powder with glitter chunks in it and it is used for highlighting your cheek bones.
All the powders in this palette are quite chalky. These are not the creamy to touch but still smooth to blend easily. As you can see in the swatches that these powders are not pigmented enough which I do not like. I know that bronzers and contours should not be that pigmented but the pigmentation of these are powders are not enough for my liking.
Matte powder in this palette is on okay side but shimmery shade is not my kind of highlight as I like my highlight should be without glitter chunks.
These shades stays on me for about 4 hours approximately and then starts fading away which is pretty good for m oily skin.
Overall I do not liked this palette. This is not my favorite kind of palette as I have good options other than this.
